Breed Information

What is a Bengal Cat ?

A Bengal cat is a little wonder of nature! He is a hybrid cat, a cross between the domestic cat and the Asian leopard (Prionailurus Bengalensis), a small wild cat found in Asia and more particularly in the Bengal region. The result of this fusion is spectacular: a mini leopard with the “Wild” look of the Asian leopard and the “Sweet” temperament of the domestic cat! It was by reflecting on these two characteristics that we chose our cattery name, Your Exotic Nature. You will find below all Bengal cat breed information you need to know!

Bengal Cat Patterns and Colors

Bengal cats are known for their distinctive coats and two primary pattern types: spotted and marbled. The spotted pattern can be further categorized into rosetted spots, cluster rosettes, paw-print rosettes, doughnut rosettes, and arrowhead rosettes. The marbled pattern is characterized by swirling, flowing lines, creating a unique, painterly effect. Within these patterns, there is also a range of colors, including brown, silver, snow, and the snow colors seal lynx, seal sepia, and seal mink.
